| Smith Simmentals has been dedicated to the Simmental Breed since 1982.
Our farm is located near the center of "Alberta Cattle Country", halfway between the cities of Red Deer and Calgary.
Fleckvieh genetics, utilizing German and Austrian bloodlines to produce top genetics for the cattle industry is our focus. Fleckvieh genetics are #1 in performance, early maturity, fertility, ease of fleshing,  calving ease, and consistency. We appreciate their natural muscling, excellent carcass traits and docile temperament. These cattle are capable of utilizing poor quality forage, and turning it into meat and muscle. These fullblood Simmentals make an excellent cross for the commercial industry with hybrid vigor, and still have the strength to be the best in maternal qualities.
We market Simmental females each December at the Fleck Select Sale in Red Deer, and our yearling Simmental bulls are sold in March at the Bull Spectrum Simmental Sale, held in Innisfail, AB. Semen and embryo's are available through private treaty sale. Our goal is to assist you with making the most appropriate purchase to benefit your herd. |
